Instructions

1- Cook the Noodles:

  • Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook elbow macaroni noodles until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2- Prepare the Cheese Sauce:

  • In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add the flour to the melted butter and whisk continuously to form a roux.
  • Gradually pour the whole milk into the roux, stirring constantly to combine and prevent lumps.
  • Season with black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and Sazon to taste.
  • Add the cheddar cheese and parmesan cheese to the skillet, stirring until the cheeses melt and the sauce thickens. Remove from heat.

3- Combine Ingredients:

  • In a large bowl, mix together the cooked macaroni noodles and broccoli florets.
  • Pour the cheese sauce over the macaroni and broccoli mixture. Stir until everything is well coated.

4- Bake the Casserole:

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Transfer the macaroni mixture to a baking dish.
  • Top with additional shredded cheddar cheese and breadcrumbs.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
  • After baking, switch to broil mode and broil for 5 minutes or until the top is golden brown and crispy.
