Ingredients
🧴 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for frying)
🥩 1 pound ground beef
🧂 1 teaspoon onion powder
🧄 1 teaspoon garlic powder
🌶️ 1 teaspoon Tony Chachere's seasoning
🧅 1 small onion, finely chopped
🥓 6 strips of bacon, cooked and chopped
🧀 2 cups shredded mixed cheese
📜 Egg roll wrappers (about 12)
💧 Water (for sealing)
Instructions
1- Prepare the Filling:
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, then season with onion powder, garlic powder, and Tony Chachere's seasoning. Cook until the beef is no longer pink, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks.
- Push the cooked beef to one side of the skillet and add the chopped onions to the other side. Cook until the onions are translucent.
- In a separate pan, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove it from the pan, chop, and add it to the beef mixture.
- Stir the shredded cheese into the beef, bacon, and onion mixture until the cheese is fully melted and the ingredients are well combined.
2- Assemble the Egg Rolls:
- Lay out an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface.
- In the center of the wrapper, place about 2 tablespoons of the cheeseburger filling.
- Dip your finger in water and moisten the edges of the wrapper.
- Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides, and roll tightly until fully sealed. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
3- Fry the Egg Rolls:
- In a deep pan or fryer, heat the remaining vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully lower the egg rolls into the hot oil, a few at a time, being cautious not to overcrowd the pan.
- Fry for 3-5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove them from the oil and place on paper towels to drain the excess oil.
4- Serve:
- Serve the egg rolls hot with your choice of dipping sauce such as ranch, BBQ sauce, or sriracha mayo.
