Ingredients
🥩 1 lb ground beef
🍅 2 cups pasta sauce
💧 1 cup water
🌿 1 tablespoon Dan-O’s seasoning (or any preferred seasoning)
🧂 1 tablespoon Kinder’s all-purpose seasoning (or any preferred seasoning)
🍝 12 oz spaghetti noodles
🍞 2 Italian loaves of bread
🧄 1/2 cup garlic butter
🧀 1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella or your choice)
Instructions
1- Prepare the Meat Sauce:
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook 1 lb of ground beef until browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
- Lower the heat, add 2 cups of pasta sauce and 1 cup of water, stirring to combine.
- Season the sauce with 1 tablespoon each of Dan-O’s and Kinder’s all-purpose seasoning. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
2- Cook the Spaghetti:
- While the sauce simmers, break the spaghetti noodles in half and add them to the sauce.
- Cover and let the mixture simmer, occasionally stirring, until the spaghetti is tender and cooked, roughly 10-12 minutes.
3- Prepare the Bread Boats:
- Preheat your oven’s broiler.
- Slice each of the Italian loaves of bread in half lengthwise.
- Hollow out some of the bread from the center, creating a ‘boat’.
- Generously spread garlic butter inside each bread boat.
4- Assemble the Boats:
- Fill each bread boat with the spaghetti and meat sauce mix.
- Top with 1 cup shredded cheese, liberally covering the spaghetti.
5- Broil and Serve:
- Place the filled bread boats on a baking sheet and broil in the oven until the cheese is melted and bubbly, about 3-5 minutes. Keep a close eye to prevent burning.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before slicing into portions and serving.
