These Bacon Cheeseburger Egg Rolls make for a mouthwatering appetizer or snack that combines the savory flavors of ground beef, crispy bacon, and melted cheese. Perfectly seasoned and easy to fry, they’re sure to be a hit at your next gathering.

Ingredients

🧴 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for frying)
🥩 1 pound ground beef
🧂 1 teaspoon onion powder
🧄 1 teaspoon garlic powder
🌶️ 1 teaspoon Tony Chachere's seasoning
🧅 1 small onion, finely chopped
🥓 6 strips of bacon, cooked and chopped
🧀 2 cups shredded mixed cheese
📜 Egg roll wrappers (about 12)
💧 Water (for sealing)

Instructions

1- Prepare the Filling:

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.
  • Add the ground beef to the skillet, then season with onion powder, garlic powder, and Tony Chachere's seasoning. Cook until the beef is no longer pink, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks.
  • Push the cooked beef to one side of the skillet and add the chopped onions to the other side. Cook until the onions are translucent.
  • In a separate pan, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove it from the pan, chop, and add it to the beef mixture.
  • Stir the shredded cheese into the beef, bacon, and onion mixture until the cheese is fully melted and the ingredients are well combined.

2- Assemble the Egg Rolls:

  • Lay out an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface.
  • In the center of the wrapper, place about 2 tablespoons of the cheeseburger filling.
  • Dip your finger in water and moisten the edges of the wrapper.
  • Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides, and roll tightly until fully sealed. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.

3- Fry the Egg Rolls:

  • In a deep pan or fryer, heat the remaining vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
  • Carefully lower the egg rolls into the hot oil, a few at a time, being cautious not to overcrowd the pan.
  • Fry for 3-5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove them from the oil and place on paper towels to drain the excess oil.

4- Serve:

  • Serve the egg rolls hot with your choice of dipping sauce such as ranch, BBQ sauce, or sriracha mayo.
